The ratio of people who actually get published compared to all the people who try is roughly 1:1,000,000 so, therefore, attempting is futile. Yet here I am! My name is Sabrina. I’m an 18-year-old from Memphis, TN. and I’ve always loved to write. When I was younger, I actually wanted to be a doctor, but that all changed when I realized science was not my forté; English was.
I just graduated from high school and come August, I will be a freshman at Washington University in St. Louis (WashU). Although I won’t declare a major until my second semester of sophomore year, I know that I want to major in Creative Writing with a genre focus in poetry. I’ve always wanted to share what I’m passionate about but I never quite knew how to do it. I still don’t really know how to do it, but I’m here writing my way through life, figuring it out as I go. I also write for a local online magazine called Grrlpunch! You should check out the amazing articles and pieces of artwork that this team of extremely intelligent, capable and talented young women creates.
